Admin Role
Emails, scheduling, attending quarterly meetings, help newcomers plug in, manage schedules on Church Center. Average: 2-5 hours a week
Marketing Role
Monthly newsletter, creating graphics, Church Center announcements, Submitting women's events for whole church publication, keeping women's webpage up to date. (No, Christina is not stepping down, but if you absolutely love this, she will move to another role.) Average: 2-10 hours a week (busier during fall and spring launches)
Baptism Calls
Meet in person or via phone with women who are pursing baptism. Vetting process. Average: 1-3 hours per week leading up to church baptisms.
Discipleship/Mentorship
Mentoring other women of the church. These positions will have an interview process. These positions will be overseen by our Discipleship Coordinator. Average: 1-2 hours per week (on an as-needed basis)
Mercy Coordinator
Oversee and coordinate volunteers for women in the church experiencing: isolation, benevolence, new motherhood/post-partum, being overburdened/overload, marriage issues, filling meal train openings. Average: 1-5 hours per week (depending on need)
Mercy volunteer
Willing to connect with other women who are experience the above issues. These can be one time connects, or ongoing gatherings. These positions would available to be called on for providing a meal (if their church meal train is not full). Likely scenario: Coordinator would send mass email to volunteers to see who can help in particular circumstances. You would only respond if available to fulfill request.
Gatherings/Events volunteer
Under the event coordinator, Allyson Denham, volunteers would be requested to help with event set ups or tear downs. Any assistance needed during events (filling trays, water, welcome people, purchase supplies prior, provide snacks/dessert/beverages). We would ask that you be available for at least 75% of the events we hold throughout the year. Because of the limited budget (except spring/fall launches), we rely on our team to help supply food/drink if we do not ask attendees to bring. Average: 1-4 hours per event (in addition to helping during event, if needed).
Connector Role
Reaching out to newcomers/visitors in church, Get newcomers plugged in, Offer to meet up with newcomers, Anytime you have a meet n’ greet with newcomers, college students, young moms, baptism interest; vetting them to get connected to the right people Average 1-2 hours per week (as needed)
Annual Retreat Team
Monthly to Semi-monthly meetings in the 4 months leading up to the retreat (typically in February). Work as a team to secure a location, finalize details, vet speaker(s), attend/work during retreat. Roles can be as small as check-in and communion breadmaking, to as large as team lead.
Hosting
Do you have space in your home or backyard to welcome others? We're looking for women who are willing to open their homes for gatherings—whether it’s for 10, 20, or even 40+ guests. You don’t need to lead or plan the event—just provide a warm, welcoming space. From small group socials to outdoor movie nights or larger fellowship events, your home could be the perfect setting. If you’ve ever thought about hosting but felt unsure where to start, this is a simple way to get involved and make a difference, without carrying the whole load.
